Hey Keith

Well your Timeless and Strange was the soundtrack of my life and my romance with a girl from Croydon back in 74-75. Loved it I was over for a year at Manchester U

Hi Rob - that's great! We remastered it 2 years ago and put a lot of those early tracks out as a compilation called, funnily enough, 'Timeless & Strange'! - Nice memories and good times IMHO... Best wishes, Keith Christmas

Hi Keith, you are one of the great white blues singers of all time. Definitely on a par with Stephen Stills both as player and songwiter and singer. Thanks for the music. Keep us on your mailing list - seasonal blessings, Peter and Markiza

Thank you , Peter - I'm not sure I've earned such praise yet but I'll keep on trying, that's for sure! I got your photo on Christmas Day, looks lovely out there, especially from a cold, rainy England

Best wishes, Keith

Hello, I've been listening to a signed cassette of yours - Deadline Blues, that I got after a gig at the Waterworks club in Edgbaston and have been wondering how long ago that was? The waterworks club is no longer there...it's a brilliant live album!

Are you likely to be gigging in Brum in the near future?

Cheers

That was a long time ago that cassette! I remember that gig as well. No plans to be in Brum at the moment but I'll be seriously looking for gigs after next summer so if you know of any, please let me know. Best wishes, Keith

Thanks for the CD that arrived today. It sounded as fresh as the first time I heard it ( tho we are both 30 something years older now). You are still a legend in your own generation. To paraphrase - "The man who always gives good deals is of great popularity"

Glad it got there safely and brings back good memories!

Keith (or should i say Mr. Christmas)
Just sent you a message. Hope all is well since your Gordano days. From reports of my dad of your 60's and 70's time, you were quite the player. Hope to see you when your next set of dates are released. I'm sure my dad would like to see you perform after all these years. Hope all is well with you. Last i heard you were teaching at witheywood school in south Brizzol. Hope to here from you.
Take care,]
Matt.

Hi Matt! I am at Ashton Park now but I still remember Gordano with great affection, there were some terrific kids there...

I hope to get some more gigs next year when I have a bit of time to work at it - give my best wishes to your Dad and of course to you and the other 'Gordanoes'

Cheers!

Dear Keith,
just a quick note to say what a pleasure it has been to discover your music.
I stumbled across a copy of 'Stimulus' posted on the www. & was disappointed to discover it was out of print, then glad to discover 'Timeless & Strange' - a great compilation. Are their any plans to re-issue your early recordings ? If not, I think there should be.
Many thanks for all the beautiful songs & inspired performances.
Best Wishes
Paul.

Dear Paul, thanks for the entry! There are no plans at this time to reissue Stimulus and it is unlikely it will ever be released as a complete item. I do have the masters though, so..... (KC)

Hi Alan

I loved those gigs as well. Always a good crowd, always went down well, always got well paid and I had this strummer called David Bowie to open up for me...

Loved it and that garden out the back was crawling with celebs some nights, Marc Bolan et al

Hi Doug! I wasn't playing except on the Radio - yes I'm doing fine at the moment and life is good. I presume you're talking about the new building works at Speedwell thereby requiring large sticks of plastique to take care of the old school? - dreamt about it many a time.... ;-)

Hi Keith
I heard you being interviewed on the radio 4 news as you seemed to be blagging your way into Glastonbury - were you playing as well? Anyway you sounded happy and healthy so I thought I'd look you up and so discovered this great site. Are you going to the demise of Speedwell event? If not my band -The Slow Cones - are playing at the Nailsea Beer Festival on the 14th July and The Louisiana in Bristol on the 22nd July - come and see us if you can (details on myspace)
Best wishes

Doug

Hi Sugosh, great to hear from someone in India - a first!
When I was given the opportunity to have a CD of my early work remastered, we were very limited for space. The 2nd and 3rd albums had to take centre stage and I only managed to include one track from 'Stimulus' and a live version of another, on to it.
Cheers!

Hi Keith, just wanted to write in and say I'm glad to have had the opportunity to discover your great music. First time I heard you was "Bedsit two step" on a tape of "Club Folk" I managed to get hold of from some brit-folk aficionado friends.

Recently heard the "Stimulus" LP and absolutely loved it. I'm very disappointed to find that it seems to be unavailable most places. Any plans for a reissue?

I found the Bothy to be outstanding. A great club, a great crowd and dare I say it, a pretty good MC too!

I thoroughly enjoyed myself last Sunday and with one eye on getting back to playing clubs next year, I found it all very encouraging for the future.

Well done the Bothy and thank you!!

Keith's gig at 'my' Folk Club last evening in Southport (The Bothy) was a reminder of just why he's held in such esteem by those with er, impeccable musical taste! A formidable guitarist of expansive grace, a vocalist of awesome power, he was simply majestic. Why did we wait 42 years before booking him!?
Nice one Keith - thanks for that.
